That’s a crazy amount of money at any age. Why do crypto currency and drop shipping videos consistently go viral? Idk. I feel like I provide consistent and *PROVABLE* value on this app but never get the amount of views I should be getting. The provability of my statements is the biggest part. You can always confirm my claims on public record or simply by callimg the listing agent. Inflation isn’t automatically bad. Neither is having almost none. This chart shows cumulative inflation in the US, Europe, and Japan, all starting from the same point. Japan barely moved for decades. Prices stayed stable. Sounds nice. But that came with weak growth, stagnant wages, and an economy that never really escaped neutral. The US had more inflation. Europe sat in between. Different paths, different tradeoffs. The point isn’t “inflation good” or “inflation bad.” It’s that price stability alone doesn’t guarantee prosperity. Would you take a $100,000 salary in the US, or Rs. 30,00,000 in India? 👉🏼 Most people do a quick math by converting the USD amount by the forex rate, say 78, and evaluate the salary as 78 lakh compared with 30 lakh, assuming tax rates are the same. 👉🏼 However, this method does not account for the difference in cost of living or purchasing power between both the countries and thus, the calculation is misleading. 👉🏼 Ideally, the rate to be taken for conversion should be the Purchasing Power Parity rates published by the World Bank or OECD annually, which are forex conversion rates normalised to account for the cost of living difference. 👉🏼 As per the latest report of 2022, the PPP of India with respect to the US Dollar is at about 23.14. This means $100,000 is actually equivalent to about Rs 23 lakhs earned in India 👉🏼 Thus, a salary of Rs 30 lakhs in India would actually buy you more purchasing power than $100,000 in the US. #finance #forex #purchasingpower #personalfinance #casarthakahuja #economics #business #startups
