What an incredible experience hosting a Petite Beauties workshop at Pickering High School for 60 young ladies from grades 9-12!
A heartfelt thank you to Dr. Hunte and Mrs. Brown, the principal and vice-principal, for seeing the importance of creating a safe space where young leaders can be poured into.
We explored characteristics of leadership, the power of positive vs. negative self-talk, and the importance of believing in oneself, a message close to my heart because I was once a young girl transformed by a workshop just like this. Seeing the full-circle impact fuels my passion to keep pouring into the next generation.
When we asked the young ladies how they felt after the workshop, words like #seen #acknowledged, #empowered, #motivated, and #inspired echoed in the room.
This is the reason to show up for the generation of this time.🤎
We also highlighted the incredible Amanda Gorman, who at just 22 years old, made history at the U.S. presidential inauguration. A powerful reminder that young voices matter, and their impact is limitless.
Thank you, Durham District School Board, for making space for this work to continue. Petite Beauties Workshops are an extention of Beauty Seekrets and I’m honoured to steward this assignment and join with the destiny helpers I need in this season.
