In un’epoca dominata dall’IA e dagli algoritmi, il primo capitolo del Decalogo di Kieślowski (una serie di mediometraggi ispirati ognuno a uno dei 10 comandamenti) si staglia come un monito sulla fragilità dell’uomo. Il regista polacco ci conduce nell’appartamento di un linguista e professore universitario, un uomo che ha eletto il computer a proprio oracolo, convinto che ogni variabile della vita possa essere domata dal calcolo. Ma è in questo dialogo tra la zia e il piccolo Paweł che il film sposta l’asse dal misurabile al non. Il discorso della donna non è una lezione di catechismo, ma una fenomenologia dell’affetto: Kieślowski spoglia la divinità dalle icone e la rintraccia nel calore di un abbraccio. Dio non è un’equazione risolta, ma l’esatto istante in cui riconosciamo l’altro. In questa epifania domestica, il regista ci suggerisce che il Sacro non abita nei cieli, ma nelle pieghe dei nostri legami più profondi. Un’opera necessaria per ricordarci che, laddove la scienza si ferma, inizia l’infinito dell’anima.

Kieślowski, yaşamı sorgulatan, insanı var olmanın ayrıcalıklı sorumluluğunu hissettirecek ıstıraplara boğan, ruhu ancak derin acıların vereceğe sıradışı hazlara sürükleyen büyük bir değerdi... ve her büyük değer gibi iz bırakıp gitti... Otoriteyi sorgulama ve özgürlük vurgusu bağımsız sinemada çok önemli bir yer tutar. Kieślowski bu konuda da çok iddialı bir yönetmendi. İnancı ve şüpheyi birlikte ele alırken, döneminin sosyalist diktasını, inancı öncülleyerek eleştirmekten çekinmez... Kieślowski, modern zamanların en iyi yönetmenlerinin başlarında kabul edilir.
