That’s the kind of fear-based advice I hear all the time. But here’s the thing—I’m not living my life in fear of the “what ifs.” I’m not building my life on the shaky foundation of worldly wisdom.
I chose a man who fears the Lord. A man who leads, provides, protects, and stays.
He doesn’t just carry our daughter in his arms—he carries this family with strength and sacrificial love. He’s not perfect, but he’s steady. He’s present. He’s masculine in all the best ways.
And that’s exactly what this world is trying to destroy—godly, masculine men.
We need more of them. Not fewer.
We need men who love their wives like Christ loved the Church.
Who stay, even when it’s hard.
Who lead with truth and tenderness.
Who raise their sons to do the same and show their daughters what to look for.
I won’t apologize for depending on my husband.
I won’t apologize for trusting him.
And I won’t live in fear of something that’s not my story just because the culture expects me to.

2️⃣ You Have to Encourage Him to Do Basic Things
Getting a job, following through on responsibilities, or even making an effort in the relationship.

He loves when you hold him after a bad day, but when his actions hurt you, he gets defensive, dismissive, or turns it around on you.
He wants unconditional acceptance, not the accountability that comes with a real relationship.
4️⃣ You Carry the Mental Load of the Relationship
You remember the birthdays, plan the date nights, and keep track of everything that makes the relationship work.
If you stopped managing it all, would anything still function? If you’re the only one making sure things don’t fall apart, you’re not his partner, you’re his safety net.
5️⃣ He Sees Love as What You Do, Not Who You Are
If your worth in the relationship feels tied to how much you do for him, cooking, cleaning, fixing his problems, or just making his life easier, he’s not loving you.
He’s loving the role you play in his life. Real love isn’t transactional.
