In the real double slit experiment you shoot tiny particles or light through two slits and see the pattern they make on a screen behind it if no one is watching which slit they go through you get a cool wave interference pattern like ripples overlapping in water if you do watch which slit they pass through it stops behaving like a wave and just makes two simple lines like normal particles in the minecraft pic the first image is like the “no one’s watching” case the yellow marks on the far wall show an interference pattern where the wave parts mix and make that uneven design the second image is like “you’re watching” the particles now it just makes two straight yellow lines on the wall because the particles are acting like normal blocks not waves so in minecraft terms imagine you’re shooting snowballs through two holes in a wall if you somehow turn off “entity tracking” you get a funky mixed splash pattern behind but if you turn on tracking so the game knows which hole each snowball went through you only get two boring lines..
