Dr. Siddharth Warrier- "Initially started writing poetry, which helped me realize that I wanted to share my stories. Through storytelling, I came to understand the most interesting story in medicine: "why are we the way we are." It's something everyone wants to know. During my Neurology Residency, I planned to write a book on neuroscience called "Conscious," exploring human consciousness. I made daily notes, but when the pandemic hit, the book was put on hold, and I started using that information for my YouTube content. I found creating content helped me explain things better to my patients and learn skills useful for doctors. Talking to people, keeping them engaged, and conversation skills are useful skills for any doctor today. When anyone enters medicine, every book and every line they read will come in handy in their job. There is no line or textbook that won't be useful, making medicine a profession so magical and worthy of appreciation. One example is the case of a young mother & wife who had only half a brain. Her other half was just CSF, she had a congenital defect but the remaining half trained itself to do the entire brain's job. It's incredible what our complete brain can do with time and resources. Similarly, every case can teach us about life, human behavior, suffering, and resilience.
