You can’t build healthy relationships in an unhealthy family system. If you grew up with a controlling or explosive parent, the struggle you feel today may be rooted in family dysfunction, not your identity.

A trauma loop is what happens when the body tries to defend itself from something that is no longer attacking it. It is not weakness. It is not dysfunction. It is unfinished protection turning against itself. You were hurt. Your body reacted. Your nervous system braced. Your protector came online. And instead of completing the threat response and releasing, the body kept fighting something that was no longer happening. A trauma loop is when the body keeps reacting to a past injury as if it is still present. It is when anger keeps biting. When hypervigilance keeps squeezing. When avoidance keeps wrapping tighter. Not because you are dramatic. Not because you love chaos. Not because you cannot move on. Because your body is trying to survive. The tragedy is not the original wound. The tragedy is when the survival response never finishes. Forgiveness, in this framework, is not about the saw. It is not about pretending the blade was harmless. It is the moment the snake stops constricting. The moment the nervous system realizes: This is metal. It is not alive. It is not attacking me now. Forgiveness is the biological shift where the body stops bracing for a past that is no longer occurring. It is the completion of the threat response. Until then, the loop continues. Bite. Squeeze. Bleed. Repeat. And you stop the loop the moment you pause long enough to let your body feel what it never got to finish, instead of fighting what is no longer there.

"Executive dysfunction" is a common trait among people with ADHD. It happens when your brain struggles to start, organize, or follow through on tasks — even ones you want or need to do. It can feel like an invisible wall between you and action. It's worth acknowledging that nearly everyone has likely experienced the feelings of lacking motivation to start or complete a difficult, or even super simple task. But here’s the key difference: for people with ADHD, executive dysfunction happens constantly. It can show up daily. And it’s not just simple procrastination or being disorganized, or a temporary lack of willpower. It’s a neurological pattern that impacts motivation, initiation, and task switching. This can happen when the stakes are high and the task feels important, as well as when the task is incredibly simple and minor, (Personally, it's the times I have trouble doing the "little" things I find most frustrating). The frequency and impact of this are quite different from what most neurotypical people experience. That’s why it’s so misunderstood. None of this is about giving yourself an excuse not to try, and it’s not something to lean on as an excuse to others. It’s about better understanding your brain so you can approach things with more compassion, patience, and resilience. So if you have ADHD and you’ve ever felt stuck, frustrated, or ashamed because you couldn’t “just do it” — even when the task felt simple or important — you’re not alone. You and your brain deserve grace, not guilt. 💛 #ADHD #ExecutiveDysfunction #ADHDSupport #Neurodivergent #ADHDLife #MentalHealthAwareness #ADHDAcceptance #BeKindToYourBrain

I know “Executive Dysfunction” seems like a very broad term, but that’s because it is. It covers a lot of ground because it impacts many different areas of functioning. If you have issues with executive dysfunction it bleeds into planning your day, responding to texts, overthinking conversation. It’s a BIG DEAL. That’s my spiel. Why don’t people talk about this more??? #drsasha #adhd

The “Three Meals a Day” schedule is a social construct, not a biological necessity. We have been conditioned to eat by the clock rather than by our internal signals. This rigid timetable breakfast, lunch, and dinner is the foundation of modern metabolic dysfunction. Eat only when you feel the pangs of hunger. If you aren’t hungry, your body is still processing fuel. Forcing food into a system that isn’t asking for it leads to “metabolic traffic jams” and chronic inflammation. When you do eat, the goal isn’t “fullness” it’s balance. Your stomach needs a third for food, a third for water, and a third for air. If you fill your belly to the brim, you crush your digestive fire and leave no room for your body to actually breathe and process the nutrients. Your body is an intelligent engine, not a storage unit. By ignoring the “timetable” and respecting the “Rule of Thirds,” you prevent the sluggishness and disease that come from over-consumption and “corrupt” nutritional advice. Every time you eat just because “it’s time,” you are overriding your body’s natural wisdom and forcing your organs to work overtime on fuel they didn’t ask for. You need to clean your system and reset your biological foundation by re-learning the lost art of eating for hunger, not for the clock. 👇 Comment “HEALTH” and I’ll DM you the full protocol to detox your system and my guide to “Intuitive Fueling.” Follow @cleansedforlife for more . . . . #IntuitiveEating #MetabolicHealth #PreventiveMedicine #NaturalHealing #DigestiveHealth
