🪩 This kept them busy for sooo long! ✉️ SHARE this to someone who needs a party moment. Hey I’m Izzy, an experienced high school science teacher here to share my love of fun experiments, and help you use what you’ve got at home to make science learning easy and playful. ⚡️ This super easy activity only needs 4 items (balloon, cloth, tissues, and tape), and the magic of static electricity. It’s perfect for a rainy day, or when you need some independent play from your kids. While they are dance captain for their party, they are also: - exploring cause and effect - understanding static electricity - building focus - strengthening curiosity - making predictions - developing procedural thinking Low prep science activities like this create foundational brain connections supporting learning readiness and academic excellence without expensive kits or specialist knowledge. 👉 FOLLOW for more easy, playful science activities for kids you can do with what you’ve got at home #ScienceActivitiesForKids #ScienceAtHome #PlayAndLearn #KidsActivitiesAtHome #ScreenFreeActivities

Gravity says: this ruler should fall.
Air pressure says: not today. We balanced a ruler on the edge of the table and dropped a ball on the overhanging side — and of course, gravity won and the ruler fell. But then we covered the part of the ruler on the table with a sheet of paper… and suddenly the ball bounced off and the ruler stayed put. Why?
When the paper lies flat on the table, air pressure pushes down on it from above. That pressure acts over the entire surfaceof the paper, creating a surprisingly strong downward force. This force presses the ruler firmly against the table. The force from the falling ball isn’t strong enough to overcome that air pressure, so instead of tipping the ruler, the ball bounces back. Invisible forces. Very real results. A great way for kids to see that: * air has weight and pressure * forces depend on surface area * invisible things can have very real effects Science that feels like magic — until you look a little closer ✨ For more easy experiments, play inspiration and crafts follow @funplayjoy4kids! #kidscience #simpleexperiments #learningthroughplay #stemforkids #handsonscience

Day 20/50 – Science Experiment Series 🧪✨ Sticky Balloon Challenge 🎈 I filled balloons with flour and dipped them in dishwashing liquid water… and they started sticking to each other! 😲 Why does this happen? Because the soapy water reduces friction and creates a sticky surface, making the balloons cling together. Try this fun challenge with kids and see the magic! 🎈 Follow for more easy and fun science experiments for kids 💛 #montessoriathome #educationalfun #scienceexperiments #scienceisfun #scienceiscool

🌊 Bottle + Beads = Mind-Blowing Science! 🌈✨ This simple experiment will have your kids saying WOW on repeat! All you need are two bottles the same size, some water, and beads (or rice, sand, confetti… get creative!). Flip it, watch the magic, and sneak in some hands-on STEM learning. 💡 Science Spotlight: This works because of air pressure + gravity. The beads can only fall when the air escapes from the other bottle, making it the perfect mini-lesson in physics for kids. 🎉 Extension Ideas: 1. ⏱ Race It Out – Time how long it takes for different materials (sand, rice, beads, glitter) to fall through and compare results. 2. 🌌 Glow-in-the-Dark Twist – Try glow beads or glitter in a dark room with a flashlight for extra wow. 3. 🧮 Math Challenge – Have your child count how many flips it takes to empty the bottle or estimate how many beads are inside. 👩‍👧 Try it with your kids this week and see how long they stay fascinated. Bonus points if they come up with their own variations! 👉 Save this for later and share with a parent friend who loves easy STEM fun. Want more quick activities that build confidence and brain power? 🤯 brain explosion and chemical explosion! 💭 Kids build real thinking skills through simple, hands‑on moments. That’s why science activities for kids are such powerful tools. Turn everyday ingredients into opportunities for curiosity, confidence, and early critical thinking. ✨ The instant the fizz begins, something shifts. They lean in. They ask questions. They want to try different amounts or colours. That’s playful learning at its best; joyful, self‑driven, and building the kind of thinking skills they’ll use for years. 👉 How to: 1. Add some vinegar to a cup and food colouring for extra fun 2. Then add some baking soda 3. How high will it go? 🧠 Want to level up? - Ask what they think will happen before they try it. - Try different amount of vinegar and baking soda - Change the order you add things - Try in different sizes / shaped containers - Ask them to explain what happened 📌 Keep this one in mind for the days you want to spark curiosity and build real‑world thinking skills in the simplest, most joyful way. #FutureProblemSolvers #LearningThroughPlay ScienceActivitiesForKids #ScienceAtHome #PlayfulLearning
