ANBit of a niche topic but for those that are interested my summary is: a) it won’t directly get you a job but is helpful to show your interest in a certain area and also shows you can be disciplined and committed b) shows some level of competency c) you learn new skills and broaden your knowledge.
BUT, there’s always a trade off - so if there is something else you’d rather spend your time working on, which aligns more with your long term goals, then maybe not worth it.
If you want to do an exam to learn some of the basics and show your interest in finance - might be worth doing IMC to start with, which is much lighter in terms of time commitment.
Overall I’d say it’s been a net positive for me, even though I’m no longer in corporate!
