Last time I shared this research about engineers in a WhatsApp group, all the techies freaked out on me. Which proved my point about soft skills in certain tech fields. If you want more sales it’s not through hiring a better engineer. You need to understand the science of selling which is ultimately understanding human behavior and also you MUST strengthen your EQ. STEM has often been seen as a male-dominated space, but that doesn’t mean it should stay that way. More and more women are showing up, studying, researching, and leading in these fields — and proving every day that passion and determination matter far more than stereotypes. For me, choosing physics and engineering has been both challenging and rewarding. There were times I questioned if I really belonged, but I’ve learned that there’s room here for all of us — and our voices, ideas, and perspectives are so needed. So if you’re a young woman thinking about a STEM career: know that you absolutely have a place here. Don’t let old labels or doubts hold you back. when i was young, i used to think that engineers dress up like 👷👷‍♀️ to go on site, and the environment just doesn’t seem ideal for a woman 🧐 i have an interest in solving complex and meaningful problems to make the world a better place but my idea of the work engineers do did not seem appealing to me but as i grow up, i understand the different variations of engineers and realising that the possibilities are endless ✈️ there are many different working conditions depending on which path you take, you just need to pick the right one! 🥰✨ some engineers are on site, some wfh entirely, some work in big cities as a engineering consultant, and there’s also the flexibility of having a career change with the skills being very transferable 😎

No one really talks about this… 1️⃣ You don’t need to be less girly to be taken seriously 💅🏻 For a long time, I felt like I had to “tone it down” to be respected but being feminine doesn’t take away from your intelligence, it just adds to your confidence. 2️⃣ If you’re still studying, please don’t pull all-nighters 💀 Cramming + no sleep = burnout (and wrinkles). Engineering is hard and no one is denying that. But that doesn’t mean you have to sacrifice your health or happiness for it. 3️⃣ Be successful, ambitious, well-educated but protect your feminine energy ✨ Masculine energy attracts feminine energy. Instead of being in hustle mode 24./7, take time to slow down and reconnect with your softer, grounded side too. 4️⃣ Imposter syndrome doesn’t magically disappear after graduation 👩🏼‍🎓 But the key is to keep showing up anyway. 5️⃣ Being the only woman in the room isn’t a weakness, it’s leverage 👑 You’re not the black sheep. You’re the pink one. Stand out on purpose. 6️⃣ It’s so much harder to find female role models in STEM 🔬 You’re not alone.
