This was a shrink from the previous 130 nm process. Intel’s Prescott Pentium 4: Intel introduced its Pentium 4 processors on 90 nm technology in early 2004. After manufacturing, every single chip is tested. Some chips have more working cores. Some handle higher clock speeds. Some consume less power. Based on how well a chip survives testing, it gets classified as i3, i5, i7, or i9. An i9 isn’t “built differently.” It’s simply a chip that survived almost perfectly.
