CCReebok FloatZig X1 → First Impressions

A carbon plated Reebok shoe! 🤯
I’m not 100% sure I enjoy the ride of the X1 after the first run…
The ride feels extremely firm and felt like the carbon plate was set up right under the insole.
But after confirming with Reebok it’s actually sandwiched in the midsole. The top layer of the midsole is actually a denser compression molded EVA foam, hence the firmer feeling.

It doesn’t feel all that forgiving on the legs if I were to take this on a longer run, but I can see this being perfect for speed workouts and tempo runs!

As of now, I still prefer the ride of FloatZig 1 at $130 over paying the extra $70 for a firmer ride.
