LO“What method did you use to start your locs?” Us loc’d folks have probably been asked this question a hundred and two times. But what alot of people don’t realize is for those who freeform their locs, there was no “ start method” or technique for them. They just let their hair simply “be”.
There’s immense beauty in just letting your hair “do it’s own thing”. The freedom of free form locs is unmatched by any other hairstyle. There is little to no maintenance required, cheap to maintain, and helps one build confidence in their God given beauty.
So the next time you find the urge to ask a free form loc-er how they started their loc journey, be prepared to hear 5 simple words: “ I just let them be”.
