When your head tilts forward, the weight on your neck increases dramatically, putting extra pressure on the cervical spine, discs, and surrounding muscles. Over time, this constant strain can cause muscle imbalances, poor posture, and early wear on spinal joints, often referred to as “tech neck.” As this posture becomes habitual, the upper back rounds and the shoulders roll forward, shifting the spine out of its natural alignment. This can lead to chronic stiffness, nerve compression, and pain that extends into the lower back and hips. Years of poor posture reduce spinal flexibility and weaken the muscles meant to support proper alignment, increasing the risk of long-term back pain, disc issues, and reduced mobility as you age.
