HOWhat an amazing day of hula as hundreds enjoyed the 81st Annual Nā Hula Festival’s return to the Kapi‘olani Park Bandstand for the first time in three years!
This video is just a taste of the beautiful, graceful performances we experienced throughout the event. Talented dancers from little keiki to the 92-year-old, legendary kumu hula Puanani Alama helped to keep the tradition of this festival alive as the state’s longest-running, annual, non-competitive hula event!

A wide variety of musicians, hula hālau, and their dancers will be participating in the free event, with the following schedule of performances (subject to change):

Since 1940, the Honolulu Department of Parks and Recreation’s Nā Hula Festival has celebrated the artistry of Hawai‘i’s premiere dance form - hula. The festival is Hawai‘i’s longest-running, annual, non-competitive hula event.
