It’s not a difference in ideas. It’s not a difference in skill. It’s not that one book is better than another. It’s that pro’s THINK about their work differently, and it makes it EASIER to deliver that work to their reader. I’ll teach you how to do it in my outlining system, which has helped over 1000 writers outline their novels and finish writing them. Comment OUTLINE if you want the link + info!

More words don’t make you a better writer. They make your message harder to understand. Most writers think clarity comes from explaining more. It doesn’t. Clarity comes from: • Shorter sentences • Stronger verbs • Removing what doesn’t move the message forward If your reader has to work to understand you, they won’t. I break down exactly how to simplify your writing (without losing depth) in today’s article. Read it at the link in my bio.

If writing feels hard, it’s not because you’re bad at it and it’s not because you’re “not a writer.” Most people get stuck because they start in the wrong place. They sit down, open a blank document, and immediately ask, “What should I say?” That question feels logical, but it’s exactly why writing feels frustrating and heavy. Good writing doesn’t start with words. It starts with clarity. Once you understand that shift, writing becomes a lot easier and far more effective. Watch the full vidoe on Youtube! Comment "WORKSHOP" and I’ll DM you the link. 📩🔥 Three years ago you said you were writing a book. And somehow… it’s still living in your head rent-free. 🧠 You’ve outlined it in the shower. Mapped chapters in your Notes app. Told people, “Yeah, I’m working on it.” But you’re not. Meanwhile… someone in your niche just hit publish. 📚 They’re on Amazon. They’re getting inbound leads. They’re landing speaking invites. They’re being positioned as the expert. Not because they’re more talented. Because they shipped. 🚀 Here’s the part no one says out loud: Research feels heavy. Drafting feels endless. Editing feels brutal. So you tell yourself you just need more time. More clarity. A better outline. But it’s not an effort problem. It’s a system problem. When writing feels like climbing a mountain with no summit, you’ll stall every time. 🏔️ And the real fear? It’s not “What if it’s bad?” It’s “What if I stay invisible while everyone else dominates?” A book done right isn’t just credibility. It’s a lead engine. ⚙️ Built properly, it works every day. Bringing readers. Inquiries. Opportunities. Without you chasing. If you’re ready to stop “meaning to write a book” and actually build one that grows your business… Comment WORKSHOP below and I’ll send you the details. 💬✨

Most writing problems don’t start on the page. They start before the words. ➡️ Your beliefs shape your thoughts. ➡️ Your thoughts influence how you feel about your work. ➡️ Your feelings affect whether you take action or avoid it. ➡️ Your actions determine the results you see. Your writing results aren’t random. They follow a pattern. 📚✨ Here’s the cycle: 🟢 01 Beliefs What you believe about yourself as a writer. 🟢 02 Thoughts “I’m not clear.” “This isn’t good enough.” “No one will care.” 🟢 03 Feelings Doubt. Frustration. Overwhelm. 🟢 04 Actions Procrastinating. Over-editing. Avoiding sharing. 🟢 05 Results A stalled manuscript. A messy draft. A message that doesn’t land. Now here’s the shift. 👇 ✅ Stronger structure ✅ Clearer messaging ✅ Confident voice ✅ Strategic editing ✅ Momentum again Editing isn’t just correcting grammar. It’s helping you interrupt the cycle and move from stuck… to published. If your draft feels heavy, unclear, or unfinished — let’s fix the root, not just the surface. Your writing SUCKS! Don’t feel bad, everyone’s writing sucks in some way or another. But we can always improve! And I’m here to help with that through this (possible) series. Reason 1 your writing sucks: you use weak words Think of how you would describe someone being sad. Would you say something like ‘they’re pretty sad?’ If so, you’re using weak words. You’re dampening the impact of the statement with adverbs. If you write like this, it isn’t all your fault! You’re probably used to hearing people talk like this. But when it comes to writing a story, this is like trying to hit someone with a feather and expecting the impact to linger. Take this next example: I’m angry. I want to tell you I’m angry, and I want you to take that seriously. Imagine if I told you I’m feeling “pretty angry.” Now imagine if I told you I’m feeling “enraged.” Which one sounds more powerful? If you said the second one, congratulations! Writing is all about impact. Adverbs weaken impact. Weaker words make for weaker moments, and a weaker, more forgettable story overall. You CANNOT afford to be any of these things. So make sure you pay attention. Word matters! “But Mr. Shaikh! I’m trying to illustrate conflict j happening within this character. What do I do?” Simply, young padawan. Use strong words. Instead of saying “they’re feeling kind of unsure,” tell me they’re feeling “conflicted.” Or they’re “torn.” Same underlying meaning, but much, much more impactful. I bet you the reader would be more interested in understanding the perspective of a “torn” character than one that’s just “kind of unsure.” And at the end of the day, you want to grab and keep a reader’s attention until the very end of your story. ——— #writeradvice #writingadvice #writerreels #tipsandtricks #advice Keywords: writer, writers, writing advice, writer advice, advice for writers, authors, author, for you page, explore page, explore reels, author advice, tips and tricks, writing tips

Writing advice is powerful. But it’s not sacred. Some of it is skill. Some of it is preference. And some of it? Marketing dressed as mastery. “Write every day.” “Show, don’t tell.” “Follow the three-act structure.” They’re not commandments. They’re tools. And tools only work when you understand why you’re using them. The problem isn’t education. It’s blind consumption. Stop hoarding advice. Start building discernment. 🔥 👇 Drop a writing rule below. You can have the best idea in the world…but if your sentences sound amateur, readers feel it instantly 😣 Not because you’re a bad writer, but because no one ever taught you the micro-skills that make writing feel effortless. Here are 5 quiet shifts that instantly level up your writing— the ones I look for first when I line-edit a client’s draft 😊🙌 1️⃣ Cut the usual sentence starters. When every line begins the same way, the writing feels clunky —even when the idea itself is really good. ❌ She walked to the door. She looked outside. She took a breath. ✅ She crossed to the door, hesitated, and let the cool air brush against her face. 💡 You’re not changing the content; instead, you’re changing the rhythm. 2️⃣ Replace vague verbs with ones that actually mean something. ⏭️ Amateur writing leans on placeholder verbs + professional writing chooses verbs that carry weight. ❌ She made her way across the room. ✅ She threaded herself through the crowd, careful not to touch anyone. 💡 One word can reveal mood, intention, and character psychology. 3️⃣ Stop naming emotions. Show the fracture line instead. ⏭️ We’ve talked on previous posts that readers don’t cry because you say “she cried.” They cry because they recognize the truth in your scene. ❌ He was furious. ✅ He steadied the glass twice before trusting his hand to lift it towards his lips. 💡 Emotion lands harder when it’s embodied, not announced. 4️⃣ Trim the filler that dilutes your impact. Words like just, really, suddenly, very, sort of weaken strong sentences. ❌ She suddenly felt very cold. ✅ Cold sliced up her spine. 💡 Filler fogs clarity + precision sharpens emotion. 5️⃣ Let your punctuation do some of the talking. Professionals use commas, periods, and dashes like musical cues and rhythm builders. ❌ He didn’t move, he couldn’t move, he wouldn’t move. ✅ He didn’t move. Couldn’t. Wouldn’t. 💡 Punctuation controls breath and breath controls emotion. Professional writing isn’t about sounding fancy + trying to impress. But it is about writing clearer, cleaner, and more honest. If you want a step-by-step path to finish your novel in 3–6 months + level up your writing as you go comment FINISHSTRONG 😊🙌

#How Write Reel by @nicolascole77 (verified account) - What's the true constraint keeping you from making a living as a writer?

What’s the true constraint keeping you from making a living as a writer? It’s not your job. It’s not your schedule. It’s not that you’re “too busy.” It’s that you’re not good enough yet. And the reason you’re not good enough is simple — you’re not spending enough time writing. Skill is the bottleneck. And the constraint to building skill? Time. If Writer A writes two hours a day after work, and Writer B writes ten hours a day between ghostwriting and personal work, guess who gets better faster? It’s math. The more hours you put in, the more you shorten the gap between where you are and where you want to be. So if you’re asking how to become a better writer faster, start by designing your life around the craft — not the other way around. Every problem gets easier to solve when your writing time increases. Stop trying to fit writing into your life. Start building your life around your writing.

If you want your writing to get better, practicing more isn’t the fastest path. The next time you sit down to write, pause before you type and get clear on one thing: what thought is the reader already having when they open this. When you know that, your job stops being performance and becomes response, which is why the words come easier and the message lands harder.
