COWhat a time man, I swear us millennials had the BEST childhood. Me and my sister would be GONE. So far from home on our bikes without a care or worry in the world 🤣.
No cell phones, iPads, no way to reach us, gone for hours, just straight vibes 🤣, and somehow thank God we made it back home safely every day lol.
Now I barely like letting my kids play in the front yard without me out there 🥴😩🤦🏽♀️. I don’t know if times have truly changed or if us millennial parents are just the ultimate helicopter parents lol.

MADear Millennial Mama’s,
Understand that we are over here raising kids without a manual, reliable villages + affordable childcare. We feel like someone in between a strict old school mama and the modern mom. (Constantly repeating, 🗣️”I’m not one of ya lil friends!”)
We wrangle with gentle parenting VS *eff around and find out approach to parenting. 🤷🏾♀️
Our personalities rotate between “I’ve got this!” to “IM GONNA LOSE IT!”
Throw perimenopause into the mix and you just might throat punch your kid the next time they yell, “6️⃣-7️⃣!”
Once I recognized those ten things about myself I realized, just like my mom- I’m doing the best I can with what I have and I’m going to continue to ask for forgiveness along the way. I find myself apologizing for “crashing out” when my body temperature was elevated, my clothes aren’t fitting right and my youngest child is literally breathing on the back of my neck. 😵💫
So friends, when a millennial moms promises to call you back later (later meaning later on in life, NOT later on today!) take that as we love hearing your voice but we are dealing with children that are acting like it’s their first day on this planet and we are simply trying not to actually combust! 🤯
