PEOkay so I feel like nobody talks about how to actually search Ravelry, and it drove me crazy for years.
I’d open it, type something vague like “cute sweater,” get overwhelmed by 40,000 results (and also see the Ingrid and Ranunculus for the 500th time) and close the tab.
The move that changed everything for me:
1️⃣ search by PROJECT not pattern
2️⃣ make sure its labeled “Most Favorited”
3️⃣ then add the tag “quick.” To find that search option, scroll all the way down on the left hand side bar until you see Tags.
That combo will pull up real world examples of people who have made patterns, favorited them, and decided to self-label them as quick projects.
You’re not browsing anymore. You’re actually finding real good stuff. The patterns that show up tend to be underrated, community-tested, and genuinely fast.
