This is where the movement starts and it’s your best opportunity to make the exercise more efficient. . ⚠️This is a great exercise to really challenge those lats through pretty much their full range of motion… if done properly. . ❗️Most people do this standing up and don’t actually let those lats fully lengthen. What you would need to do is take a few steps back and start the movement leaning into it by dropping your torso, then as you pull, you would depress your shoulder blades and pull through. The key is to drive with your elbows and have this mental pointer… . 🧠 Imagine as if you’re trying to wrap those elbows into your back pockets and into the spine. The fibers of the lats run diagonally and horizontally into the spine, this will allow you to have a crazy contraction as well! . 👀 Pay attention to the small details in the video!
