RASAVE this- Because you HAVE to have a purpose for what you are working on.
If you have seen me at practice or seen me take batting practice at showcases or camps I will typically do the same thing in an early round.
I will work on staying inside the ball, and in the first round I will heavily work the oppo side on a low line drive.
On my first round, I’d rather have a oppo ground ball than a deep fly ball pull side.
It helps me get my sights right, it gets my body in sync with what i’m trying to do and it helps me with relaxing my mind.
my swings will be at 75-85 percent.
depending on the amount of rounds in the BP session I will change my purpose depending on the round and how I did in my previous round.
If I didn’t achieve my goals or i’m not happy with the quality of round 1 i’ll split half my next round trying to get that feeling
My last round I will still try and go gap to gap sending the ball to whatever field it needs to go based on the the location of the pitch. AND I will be swinging my last round 85-100 percent to try and show some power of while trying to keep my launch angle between 15-35 degrees. keeping it at a low line drive to a lower fly ball.
if I miss it goes higher and every now and then that miss will go over the fence.
