Arduino-based radar system is a smart project that detects your surroundings with sound waves. Usually it’s done using an ultrasonic sensor and a servo motor. While rotating the servo motor sensor between specific angles, the sensor sends sound waves and calculates the distance based on the duration of the reflecting waves. Through this radar detects the location of objects in the surrounding area. The Arduino microcontroller works sensor data and displays distance information on a screen or computer interface. A “radar map” is created by recording each angle and distance value during the scanning. Objects appear in the form of dots on this map and gives a dynamic view of the area scanned by radar. The purpose of this system is to teach basic-level radar logic and to get hands-on in processing sensor data. Its simple structure is often preferred in trainings and student projects. In addition, security systems represent a foundation that can be developed in areas such as obstacle detection or autonomous vehicle work.
