Parmesan cheese + truffle mayo made it super addictive 🌰 Perilla Seed Samgyetang: creamy, nutty, and unique 🖤 Premium Black Chicken Samgyetang: deeper, richer flavour. ✨ Beauty Collagen Samgyetang (add-on): rich, smooth, and comforting. 🍪 Yakgwa: traditional Korean honey cookie, soft and lightly sweet And of course, tofu gelato at @tofug.trx next door 🍨 perfect ending Full Korean wellness dining experience right here in TRX 🤍 Definitely worth a try. Their menu is focused on their star the 12 hour boiled young chicken with premium ingredients such as ginseng making it a nutritious meal to savour. Price is like any other Korean restaurant but the “2-Gather” set Rm175++ is better value for 2 pax. It comes with : ✨Modu Appetizer with Korean Tea (teapot) ✨Pick any two (2) Samgyetang : Hanbang Spicy Herbal Beauty Collagen Black Sesame Perilla Seed (signature) Black Chicken ✨Pick one (1) Shareable dish Tofu SamHap 두부 삼합 Minari Pancake 미나리 새우전 Potato Pancake 치즈감자전 Crispy Chicken Skin Salad 닭껍질 겨자 냉채 ✨Dessert Traditional Yagkwa 전통 약과 A rich and chewy Korean honey dessert, flavored with ginger and cinnamon Definitely an elevated experience. MODU, the Samgyetang specialty restaurant set within The Exchange TRX in Kuala Lumpur (@modu.trx). Like the Singapore outlet at Mandarin Gallery (@modu.singapore), the Korean restaurant offers six different Samgyetang dishes, but here ingredients are halal-certified and while queues in both restaurants are similarly legendary, the Kuala Lumpur outlet is decidedly grander in scale with larger seating capacity. The self-assemble Tofu SamHap (grilled tofu with fish roe, braised cabbage, gamtae) was deliciously savoury, while my Hangover SamGye Tang (chicken, secret spicy sauce, ginseng, glutinous rice, garlic, jujube) was a moderately spicy, peppery affair that held me spellbound and helpless against its herbal charms despite the slow, progressive sweating of my scalp, and it will take some time to complete your conquering of the whole chicken and all its bits. Is it just me, or does the broth in KL somehow taste more robust than the one in Singapore? P.S. I managed to snag a seat as a solo diner on a Saturday evening immediately, ahead of all the couples and bigger groups in the physical queue.
