How to Become a Network Engineer in 3 Months Using Only Packet Tracer ⏱️🔌 Most people overcomplicate getting into network engineering… But the truth is, you can build job-ready skills in as little as 3 months using just Packet Tracer if you stay focused. Here’s how 👇 ✅ Packet Tracer Teaches the CORE Skills Routing, switching, VLANs, subnetting, trunking — the fundamentals that companies actually expect you to know. ✅ Hands-On > Theory You’re not just reading or watching videos. You’re configuring, breaking, fixing, and understanding networks — which is how real learning happens. ✅ Perfect for CCNA-Level Readiness Packet Tracer aligns perfectly with CCNA topics, making it ideal for beginners with zero experience. ✅ Consistency Beats Everything Daily labs + repetition for 3 months will put you ahead of most applicants who are just “studying.” You don’t need expensive gear. You don’t need 10 certs. You need focused skill-building and hands-on practice. 💬 Comment “network” and let’s get you where you need to be.

I’m on a mission to make network engineering cool again. We have a big problem online today, and few people recognize it. Every time I open my feed, I see: -Al -cloud -cybersecurity -data engineering -software developers but VERY few network engineers. The next generation is making career decisions based on what they see on the internet. Everything is built on the network. How will they know how cool it is if we don’t tell them? It’s more important than ever to make sure networking has representation to younger students choosing a career field. It’s up to us to carry the torch to the next generation! P.S. If you know someone who makes content around networking, tag them in the comments! #informationtechnology #networkengineer

To become a Network Engineer specializing in Cybersecurity, consider following a path similar to Adrian’s. Adrian excelled at Raytheon by gaining valuable military experience and earning certifications such as @cisco CCNA Security and (ISC)² SSCP. If you’re starting from scratch, begin with the @comptiaofficial Network+ or Security+ certifications. After that, you can advance to Cisco or other vendor certifications. While certifications don’t guarantee a job, they can help open doors for you. Keep this in mind as you plan your career roadmap. Are you interested in connecting with other professionals and joining or forming a study group? If so, download the MixerCloud app on the Apple App Store📱 (search for "MixerCloud"). A web version will be available soon. 💻 Where are you currently in your certification journey? #cybersecuritycareer #networkengineer #ciscocertification #breakintotech #mixercloud

🌟 From Fresher to L1 / L2 Network Engineer – A 4-Month Journey 🌟 Four months ago, they walked into the lab with dreams, doubts, and zero real-world exposure. Today, they walk into the industry as L1 & L2 Network Engineers. This transformation didn’t happen overnight. 📘 Month 1 – CCNA Foundation They learned how data actually moves: Switching, VLANs, Trunking IP addressing & subnetting Routing fundamentals Not just commands — concept clarity. 📘 Month 2 – Routing & Troubleshooting They faced real problems: Network not reachable Misconfigured routes Loop & broadcast issues They learned how an engineer thinks under pressure. 📘 Month 3 – FortiGate Firewall & Security This is where confidence was built: Firewall policies & NAT Traffic flow & hit count analysis SD-WAN basics Real security scenarios used by companies 📘 Month 4 – Interview & Job Readiness L1 & L2 interview questions Live troubleshooting practice Explaining configs confidently Understanding WHY, not just HOW 💼 Result? ✔ Placed as L1 & L2 Network Engineers ✔ Ready for real NOC / SOC environments ✔ Not freshers anymore — Industry-ready professionals

This is for educational purposes only. Always do your own research to decide what is right for you. (1) SolidWorks Associate Certification (CSWA): One of the most recognized entry-level CAD certifications for mechanical engineers. It tests your ability to build parts, assemblies, and basic simulations in SolidWorks. If your university provides access, you can often take it for free. It’s a great way to prove you can actually design, not just follow tutorials, and it signals to employers that you’re comfortable with industry-standard CAD tools. (2) Google Data Analytics Professional Certificate: Even in engineering, data is everywhere. This certification teaches you how to work with data using tools like Excel, SQL, and basic visualization platforms. It covers data cleaning, analysis, and interpretation, skills that apply across almost every engineering field. It’s beginner-friendly, relatively quick to complete, and shows you can go beyond purely technical work and actually make data-driven decisions. (3) Python for Engineering / Automation (Coursera or similar): Python is becoming a core skill in modern engineering, whether it’s for simulations, data analysis, or automating repetitive tasks. These courses typically cover fundamentals like scripting, working with libraries (NumPy, Pandas), and building small automation tools. It’s one of the highest leverage skills you can add early, especially if you want to move toward robotics, AI, or more technical roles. Personally, I’d prioritize CAD certifications like SolidWorks first as a mechanical engineer, then build from there depending on what direction you want to go in. #engineering #college
