Parenting hack for more fiber! OC: @drashleytop 🥕if you want your kids (and yourself) to eat more veggies but in a sneaky way without the battles then there are some psychological hacks… Mere exposure effect: just seeing vegetables often (on the table, in lunchboxes, on snack boards) makes them more familiar, less scary, and eventually…more desirable. Don’t tie veggies to rewards (“eat broccoli, get dessert”) or punishments. That makes carrots the villain and cookies the hero…no moral value needs to be applied to any one food. Instead, snackify your vegetables: cut them into strips, sticks, coins, or stars. Make it playful and leave a plate out. A child’s gut microbiome is being seeded for life in the early years. The more diverse the veg, the more diverse the microbes…and that’s linked to better immunity, mood, metabolism, and more.

When your kids get picky about dinner, just order “takeout.” “It’s such a fun thing,” Alex MacLaren, who cooks homemade meals and serves them to her unsuspecting children in restaurant takeout containers, tells TODAY.com. MacLaren showed her trick in a TikTok video captioned, “Telling my kids we got takeout but really, I just packed food I cooked in takeout containers.” What do you think of this parenting hack? A lighthearted video making rounds online shows parents using a playful trick to encourage their child to finish a meal. In the clip, a teddy bear is placed nearby, and the parents jokingly pretend to scold or “punish” the toy to make the child believe that not eating could lead to the same fate. The humorous setup appears to grab the child’s attention, turning mealtime into a dramatic yet funny moment. Viewers online have reacted with mixed amusement, with many calling it a creative — and slightly dramatic — parenting hack. The clip continues to circulate as a relatable reminder of how parents often come up with imaginative strategies to deal with everyday challenges like feeding children. 🎥 ArshiQU3311/X We do not own the rights to this video/photo used in this reel and post. This video features a creative and slightly unconventional parenting hack, showing a father using a vacuum cleaner and a hair tie to perfectly style his toddler's hair into a ponytail in seconds. The post is captioned “When you leave child with Dad,” leaning into the playful stereotype of fathers finding the most efficient—if a bit extreme—ways to handle daily chores. The audio captures the loud hum of the vacuum, followed by a triumphant "Ta-da!" from both the father and the little girl as she admires her new hairstyle with a giant grin. It generated 4.1M views and 350K likes, quickly becoming a hit within the parenting community. The comments are a mix of laughter and praise for the father’s ingenuity, with many mothers jokingly wondering why they hadn't thought of it sooner. This content taps into the popular "Dad Hacks" and "Funny Family Moments" trends, where the combination of a clever trick and a happy child makes for highly shareable and saveable content. The video’s wholesome and humorous vibe has led to massive engagement across various family-focused social media groups.

Let's be honest, parenting Twitter gives us the cute stuff, but where's the REALLY unhinged advice? 😂 I'm officially bored with the "Top 5 Tips" lists. I need the underground, whispered-in-secret, might-get-you-judged parenting hacks. You know the ones. The tactics you deploy when you're running on fumes and pure chaos energy. My example threshold? "Bedtime stickers that maybe, possibly, hypothetically got a teacher arrested" level unhinged. Purely hypothetical, of course. 😉 So, I'm crowdsourcing! What's the most diabolical, ridiculously effective, slightly concerning parenting hack you've ever pulled off? Share your genius (or madness) in the comments! Let's normalize chaotic survival tactics. 👇 Tag a parent who definitely has some wild stories! Unfortunately research is consistently showing us that too much screen time (especially early on in life) can lead to delayed language and attention issues along with a whole myriad of other long term developmental issues. That’s why my household is all about using the toniebox instead of screens. The toniebox is a screen free, interactive way to keep my son engaged while also supporting his active listening capacity and development…but most importantly it keeps him entertained long enough for me to cook dinner without a meltdown 😬🫠 @tonies_anz is the parenting hack we all need and deserve and it’s finally launched in Australia hallelujah ❤️🥹🙌🏼 Im going to give away a toniebox and a few of our favourite tonies to one of my followers in the next week. If you’re keen to enter the competition simply 1. Like this reel 2. Comment which tonies you’d love to try 3.
