Many of you know my story about being a longtime participant in Vaccine Research 💉 🔬 with @uihealthcare 🏥 Last Spring I concluded my 3 back-to-back longitudinal Covid Vaccine studies. This Spring, I once again volunteered to participate in another vaccine trial, “Phase 1, Comparator-Controlled, Dosage-Escalation Study to Evaluate the Safety and Immunogenicity of Two Doses DCVC H1 HA mRNA-LNP in Healthy Adults.” I am patient #1. This is a research study to understand what happens when a person receives one of three dose levels of an investigational messenger ribonucleic acid (mRNA) influenza vaccine and how the body responds to the dose received. mRNA was same delivery vehicle used in Covid trials that proved to be successful. I started participation in this trial back in April, and will continue through next year. This trial is not blinded and I am receiving an actual dose, not a placebo. Last year I was unblinded from one of the first longitudinal studies I participated in with the University and learned I had received the experimental vaccine for Chikungunya. As you may recall, Chikungunya is a mosquito-borne disease caused by the chikungunya virus. Chikungunya infection occurs when a mosquito with the virus bites a person. Chikungunya is a potentially life-altering infection that poses a threat to any traveler traveling to an area where the disease carrying mosquitos are found. The vaccine was being explored when there was an outbreak in the Zika virus. I encourage you to discuss vaccines with your Primary Care Provider to learn about which may be appropriate for you. I have always received the absolute best care from the Vaccine Research Team, and especially from my nurse, Deb. Read this: I'm on a mission to stop "good mom gatekeeping". I saw a reel the other day talking about how feeding your children Goldfish crackers was toxic and cancer causing. What? Show me a research study on this. It does not exist.  . I saw 2 types of comments.  . The first type went something like this: "Yes, they are awful, I can't imagine ever feeding my kids garbage like that". Second type: "I didn't know that, I feel awful about giving that to my child" . Both of these comments showed me one thing: shame. You're either shaming others for their choices and feeling shamed. We all care about the health and wellness of our children, and if given the financial resources and endless time, I'm sure there would be more homemade meals and fresh fruits and veggies. I personally, feed my kids plenty of healthy fresh whole foods, but also, goldfish, and also KD. It's called balance.  . What middle class instagram moms seem unable to comprehend is that there are large portions of the mom community who feel shamed when consistently pushed content that makes them feel inferior for what they buy, feed, or use on their kids. It's not just a matter of feeding them, keeping them clean, safe from the sun etc anymore, it's a matter of being told you're a bad mom for not getting the *right* product.  . I've got nothing against fresh food, organic food, or other specialty products.  If you have the privilege of the time to research, the resources to purchase and the passion to pursue a certain lifestyle that is awesome. I just wish we were a little more careful how we word things and how we choose to "educate" people on the choices they make, when often, what many can buy is not a choice but the only thing can afford.  . Choking is the fourth leading cause of unintentional death. These types of devices are often used when standard protocol fails to dislodge the object. In a research study this device was proven effective in approx 70% of cases while another airway clearance device was shown to be 99% effective. User error accounted for part of the inefficiency. This is not conducted in a controlled environment. This is my first time using this product. The second half of the object was dislodged with an alternate device. This is simply to show you my findings and also to remind you to do your research. Because if you don’t have gut issues now, you may develop them later. Inulin is a plant-based fermentable fiber that is often promoted as a prebiotic and is regularly available in supermarkets and health shops and is also a common ingredient in processed foods. Mice who were fed inulin developed cancer in a research study from Dr Vijay-Kumar, published in the Cell journal. “That was very surprising, given how rarely liver cancer is observed in mice.” said Dr Vijay Kumar. Inulin can be found in high fiber / low carb / keto breakfast cereals, protein bars, ice creams, and beverages among other processed foods. The label may list inulin, chicory root extract, oligosaccharide, or oligofructose. PASS IT ON. Women ages 45-65 who haven’t had tox or filler in the last 3 months. Don’t quote me but 6 mos or more might be ok. 2. Must be local to Chicago/ suburbs. Able to travel to the city easily every 30 days. 3. No skin cancer in the last 5 years. 4. No chemical peels in the last 3 months. 5. All races and ethnicities. 6. Willing to use only provided skincare products. 7. Must pause all facial treatments. Ie: lasers, peels, microneedling, neurotoxin and filler. Not a candidate: 1. Smokers (last 5 years). 2.
