When this nerve is pressed it can send a sharp shooting pain and this can make daily functioning difficult. ➡️Most common reason for sciatic pain is a herniated disk in the lumbar spine or a bone spur growth. This can irritate the nerve as a result causing the discomfort. ➡️The sciatic pain can show up in different points. It could run the entire length from back to foot. It could also just be some isolated areas such as the lower back or piriformis or back of thigh or the lower leg. ➡️ It is important to first identify what is causing the pain. If the disk herniation is severe then it needs to be addressed accordingly. ➡️ Always remember to get diagnosed by an expert first.
