329 AH) stated: “Know that Allah’s Messenger (salallähu ‘alaihi wasallam) said: “My ummah will divide into 73 sects, all of them will be in the Fire except for one, and that is the Jamã’ah.” It was said, “And who are they, O Allah’s Messenger?” He (salallāhu ‘alaihi wasallam) responded,
“That which I and my Companions are upon today.”
Tirmidhi, no. 2641; Ibn Nasr al-Marwazi in As-Sunnah, no. 59; Al-Hãkim in al-Mustadrak, 1/218; Al-Ajurri in ash-Sharee’ah, no. 23; Al-LalikäT in Sharh Usool al-l’tiqãd, no. 147; Ibn Battah in al-Ibānah, no. 196; and many others. It has support from the hadith of Anas reported by Tabarãni in Al-Awsat, no.7840; and in As-Saghir, no. 724; It has been authenticated by a large body of scholars from the past and present, alhamdulilläh.

HAMany falsely claim the truth in the name of religion, including various sects within Islam, each discrediting the others, accusing them of hypocrisy and associating partners with God. This behavior is also observed across different religions, each arguing to be the only correct path and the possessor of the ultimate truth.
All of this constitutes a distortion of the essence of religion. Almighty Allah did not specify "Muslim men and women" alone; even in the Torah and the Bible, He mentioned "believing men and women." So, who are these believers? They are the ones who unify God.
Therefore, we should refrain from claiming that we alone possess the truth and aim to defend the religion. God does not need anyone to defend Him; instead, He desires for humans to be sincere believers and committed to the genuine purposes of Sharia in every religion.
The genuine purposes of Sharia revolve around humanity, and humanity means morality. Those who acquire this morality are the pious worshippers of God. They believe in Him, fear Him as He should be feared, avoid harming others, refrain from passing judgment, and live their lives contentedly and peacefully until their time comes as righteous believers, ready to meet their Lord with a clean slate of faith, piety, and humanity.
