JEExploring Troll Haven in Sequim, Washington — a fantasy-filled estate with trolls, carved posts, and the Gate Keeper’s Castle. You can park in the gravel driveway, explore the allowed areas, and grab photos or film as long as you stay behind the “No Trespassing” signs. Footage filmed for personal, non-commercial use only. 📌 SAVE to hike to the Dungeness Lighthouse in Sequim, Washington this summer 🌞
My tips for visiting:
🌿 Recreate responsibly + Leave No Trace (follow the 7 principles!!)
🌊 Check the tide chart online. Plan to start hiking a little before low tide
🎒 Pack layers (esp. for the wind!)
🥾 Wear supportive hiking shoes
⏰ Allow 5+ hours to complete the hike
🪺 Stay on the North side of the spit (the other side is protected wildlife habitat)
🎟️ Take a free guide tour of the museum + lighthouse (9am-5pm daily)
🧼 Make use of the restroom at the lighthouse
💰 Entrance fee is $3 per group of 4

In my true ADHD fashion, I waited over a month to finally post so I’ll do the best I can to include everything!
Eats:
- Wellys real fruit icecream🍦 (MUST STOP!)
- Alderwood bistro (the best pizza with fermented crust and fresh ingredients, partnered with local beer! I had a bacon cherry pizza and it was 12/10) 🍕
- shadow line burgers and brew 🍔
- Ohana coffee hut ☕️
Hikes:
- Hurricane ridge 3.4 mile moderate hike
- Marymere falls 1 mile easy hike (bring bug spray)
- devils punch bowl 2 mile hike to lake crescent and the iconic bridge that everyone jumps off
Do/see:
- Olympic game farm (safari style animal drive through)
- Dungeness valley creamery @dungenessvalleycreamery (family creamery with all the baby cows, fresh raw milk, raw milk ice cream).

Welcome to Olympic Game Farm — a place where childhood wonder meets up-close wildlife encounters, all from the comfort of your own car.
Located in Sequim, Washington this family-owned landmark has been delighting visitors since the 1950s, blending the charm of a traditional petting farm with the thrill of a self-guided drive through safari. Along the route, you’ll come face-to-face with yaks, bison, brown bears, llamas, and more; animals that seem to appear right at your window, often with curiosity, personality, and yes… the occasional slobber or surprise kiss.
What makes this place even more special is its story. Olympic Game Farm once worked closely with Walt Disney Studios, providing animal actors for classic films. Over time, it evolved into a sanctuary dedicated to the care, conservation, and well-being of animals in need. Today, more than 200 animals call the farm home, each cared for with intention and respect.
The experience is completely self-paced and wonderfully hands on, where everyone is learning something new along the way. It’s educational, slightly wild, and unforgettable in the best way.

Sequim is the Lavender Capital of of the Upper Left, and sits in a "rain shadow" of the Olympic Mountains. ☀️ It only gets about 16 inches of rain a year (less than Los Angeles!)
🦌 Deer are everywhere – It’s common to see black-tailed deer strolling through yards and even downtown.
📜 The name “Sequim” comes from a Klallam (S’Klallam) word meaning “quiet waters” or “calm water”, a reference to the sheltered bay nearby.
