We small business owners are often plagued with a typical problem, Return to Origin or RTO orders. As sellers we face a load of customer talk and maintaining orders every day. If there's any delay or the parcel doesn't reach you on time, we are the first one you complain to. But, as a small business owner, it's my earnest request to please check the details you have provided us, before getting on us. We would rush up, talk for hours with the courier representative, just to know later that it wasn't a fault from our end, nor from the courier's, but a fatuous error from the buyer's end (Wrong Address, Wrong Name, Wrong Phone Number) which causes us to suffer a major loss. What is RTO? It refers to the non-deliverability of a package and its return to the seller’s address. Reasons of RTO: 1)The customer is not available to receive the package. 2)The customer denies the delivery of the package. 3)The address or other relevant information of the buyer is incorrect. 4)The door/ premise/ office is closed. 5)Failure in re-attempt for delivery. What we as sellers or small business have to suffer due to RTO? 1) Return and Forward Freight Charge 2) Box Damage 3) At times, product damage too. 4) Deduction in Sales. Hence, I plea to all our customers to be very clear, careful and specific about your delivery information. A slight error get us into a lot of difficultly. We need your support in this.
