This is Day 4 of our Real World Hacking Series.
Today we’re talking about a real-world mistake that even big companies make: AWS S3 Bucket Misconfiguration.
S3 buckets are used to store:
📁 Private files
🧾 Company data
🔐 Metadata
But if not secured properly, anyone can access those files – no login needed.
There’s a tool called Cloud-nm that can brute force S3 bucket names and show which ones are public.
In the wrong hands, this means access to:
🚨 Internal docs
🧠 Confidential info
📦 Backups and code
