🌊 This wave runs along a shallow reef below the stunning cliffs, turning on when a S–SW groundswell meets the dry-season SE/E offshores. It handles size well, delivering long, fast left walls on good pulses. Aim for mid to high water for smoother faces and beware of the inside section at lower tides.
🔥 Perfect for self-sufficient beginners on smaller days and intermediates looking to dial in their flow. 📍50 mins from the airport; go early on weekdays for cleaner water.

ZEHere is my most memorable wave from my time in Indonesia @surfingvillage
This swell was something special and turned my favorite wave into a whole new setup breaking on a new part of reef i had only seen once or twice before.
Out front of the camp was PERFECT and we couldn’t decide whether to stay or roll the dice and go see what was happening over here. On the way out to the boat @keonipsmith picked up a rock off the beach and put both hands behind his back and said if I choose the rock we go, if not we stay. Well I chose the rock and it ended up being the craziest session ever!
I was only on my 5’9 @lostsurfboards step driver which made it very difficult as this wave was coming out of deep water and moving very fast but I made it work in the short time we had. I wish I had a few hours to figure this wave out but we only had about an hour and a half left of light so I am very happy with the few waves I got.
The wave before this one was a crazy double up and I stalled a little bit too much and got clamped on the end which made me stay on the safe side with this wave, but I think I could have been way deeper and just stood the whole way. But at least I have a new goal for the wave I would like to find out there next year if another opportunity comes up.
