The silence was broken not by the wind, but by a heavy, rhythmic thumping against his heavy oak door. The Dying Visitor When Aston pulled the door open, he froze. Sunk into the snow was a Snow Leopard, a ghost of the mountains made flesh. Her thick, silver-grey fur was matted with frozen blood, and her breathing came in ragged, wet gasps. She didn't pounce. Instead, she looked up at him with amber eyes filled with a desperate, haunting intelligence. She let out a low, melodic chuff—a plea, not a threat. The Final Map Aston knelt, ignoring the biting cold. The leopard nudged his hand, then turned her head toward the jagged peaks of the Iron Ridge. With her last ounce of strength, she scraped a jagged line into the snow with her claw and pressed her paw down firmly, indicating a specific cave hidden beneath the Great Arch.
