Selenium helps in improving thyroid function and also the production of thyroid hormones T3 and T4. This is a great way of keeping your thyroid health in check. Second, you need iodine in your diet. Iodine deficiency has been linked with two billion people developing thyroid problems around the world as per the WHO. You can get iodine from iodized salt. In India, we commonly use iodized salt like Tata Namak. You can also get iodine from seaweed like nori and kelp, and even strawberries are a rich source of iodine.
