Today’s beginner-friendly upper body workout: - Barbell rows — 3 x 12 - Tricep extensions — 3 x 12 - Lateral raises — 3 x 12 (Rest for 30 seconds- 1 minute between each set to keep your form strong + avoid fatigue!) Use a weight you feel comfortable with. You should feel resistance, but still be able to complete all reps with good technique. Slow, controlled movements > heavy weights every time. Beginner Upper Body Dumbbell Only Workout 💪🏼 1)Hammer to Bicep Curl - Aim for 8 reps 2)Bent Arm Lateral Raises - Aim for 10-12 reps 3)Frontal Raises - Aim for 10-12 reps 4)Bent Over Tricep Kickbacks - Aim for 10-12 reps 5)Bent Over Row Neutral Grip - Aim for 8-12 reps 6)Standing Shoulder Press - Aim for 6-10 reps Aim for 2-4 sets of each exercise depending on time and experience - Rest for at least 90 seconds in between sets. If you’re unsure on what weights to use my advice is trial and error! Pick up a weight that you know you can do the allocated reps for, complete one set, and if it’s too easy go up in weight - it’s as easy as that! Here’s a full, efficient, and effective upper body workout: Incline dumbbell press Lat pulldown Shoulder press Seated cable row Overhead tricep extension Bicep curl variation Perform each movement for 2 to 3 sets of 6 to 10 reps, and aim to increase either weight or reps each workout. Do this consistently and you’ll build a stronger, more developed upper body in no time.
