AMTwo months out of upper Bleph healing.
I’m so glad I did this. I can see better. I do not use my forehead to open my eyelids. I feel like I look more like I feel, energetic and awake! I don’t think I look like an old person without make up now.
Lotsa questions I’ve been getting so I’ll answer them here:
1. Were you awake for the procedure: yes, no different than a dental appt honestly. They numbed the area and went to town. It was weird feeling but zero pain. No real pain during the healing either. Ice + Tylenol, all good.
2. Did insurance cover it: I paid cash. Some people wait until it’s ’bad enough’ for insurance to cover but that is silly from my perspective. They had a financing option available that made this less than $400 a month over one year if needed. I’ll bet you spend close to that on Amazon and dining out.
3. Is this a good result: this is a weird question. I would say yes. I look different, but I didn’t really know what to expect. I don’t think I’ve ever visibly seen my eyelids so it’s new to see them. The surgeon said numerous times during the procedure “wow, you really had a lot of skin up there!” Which is pretty funny. I think it turned out great! He said the bulk of the healing is the first few weeks, but my face will settle into its new shape for even up to a year.
My big takeaways here: don’t wait for someone to tell you you need something. You probably know.
Decide to move forward.
Sure, consider some things that could go wrong, but also imagine what might be neutral or go well.
We can probably apply this to a lot of areas in our lives.

BAWhat Have They Had?: Taylor Swift
Why am I not surprised that some of the best, most subtle, most balanced, amazing cosmetic work is on the face of none other than Taylor Swift? The “has she or hasn’t she” “why doesn’t she age?” type of work is what I live for. (This is my professional opinion, I haven’t treated Taylor🤞 and I’m terrified of Swifties)
Surgically speaking I think she’s had the Hollywood special - an early rhinoplasty to refine her nose and upper Bleph with ponytail lift for a cat eye sharp enough to kill a man. Gotta look the part.
Non-surgically her injectables are nearly invisible, just as they should be. After sifting through old photos pre-curtain bangs, she seems to be softening her expression lines with tox. I think her classic red lip has been hydrated with a little filler and may be more pronounced with veneers. It’s possible she’s added some filler to her high cheekbones for contour.
This is what impeccable cosmetic work looks like. Her natural and unique features are preserved and enhanced in a timeless way.
