Here are my thoughts after testing the NEW Huda Beauty pressed powder: 👇
What I really appreciated about this powder is the blurring effect—it visibly smooths the skin and gives a brightened, lifted look under the eyes, which is especially important for setting that area. From a performance standpoint, the finish is very similar to the loose version; in my experience, they offer comparable levels of blur and brightness.
However, on my skin type, I noticed that the pressed formula tended to leave visible marks and impressions throughout the face. This isn’t something I experience with my other powders, so it stood out during wear. As mentioned in my follow up video , one way to help minimize this is by applying a setting or finishing spray after powdering, which can help the product melt into the skin and reduce surface texture.
I want to be very clear—I love Huda Beauty and use the majority of her products regularly. Unfortunately, this particular formula just wasn’t the best match for my skin and application style. That said, complexion products are highly individual, and this powder may work beautifully for others.
For now, my everyday staple remains the Huda Beauty Loose Powder in Pound Cake, which consistently delivers the finish I prefer—and I’ll be sticking with that 🩷
