It’s hard not to feel it… the situation right now is scary. And even if you are safe…the tight chest, clenched jaw, restless legs, random wave of tension for no reason, aren’t just random tics. It’s somatic anxiety (when stress shows up as physical symptoms instead of just racing thoughts) And let’s be honest. You can’t always journal your way out of that. Sometimes your nervous system doesn’t need more thinking. It needs movements that help discharge stored stress, regulate the nervous system, and shift you out of fight-or-flight mode. Save this for the next time and send this to a loved one <3 {somatic anxiety, physical anxiety symptoms, nervous system regulation, anxiety relief techniques, stress release exercises, trauma-informed movement, vagus nerve stimulation, fight or flight response, anxiety in the body, self regulation tools, calming the nervous system, somatic healing, mind body connection, stress management tools, yoga} #somatichealing #anxietyrelief #nervoussystemregulation #mentalhealthtools #mindbodyconnection

Be the one who stops generational trauma. Most families don’t need another hero — they need a cycle breaker🛠️ Some of us weren’t born to repeat the family story. We were born to rewrite it. Breaking generational trauma is not loud work. It’s the private decision to feel what others suppressed, to question patterns that were normal, to set boundaries nobody taught you, and to give the next generation what you never received. Healing is not weakness. Healing is ancestral responsibility. 1. Eggs Rich in choline. Choline supports acetylcholine, a neurotransmitter involved in attention and memory. Stable acetylcholine = clearer thinking. 2. Fatty fish (salmon, sardines) High in omega-3s. Omega-3 fatty acids support dopamine signaling and reduce inflammation in the brain. Studies show lower omega-3 levels are common in ADHD. 3. Pumpkin seeds High in magnesium and zinc. Magnesium helps calm the nervous system. Zinc supports dopamine regulation. 4. Greek yogurt Protein stabilizes blood sugar. Stable glucose = stable dopamine. ADHD brains crash fast when blood sugar fluctuates. 5. Blueberries Rich in antioxidants. They reduce oxidative stress, which can impair cognitive performance. 6.Dark chocolate (70%+) Contains magnesium and small amounts of theobromine. In moderate amounts, it can support alertness without extreme spikes. 7. Coconut water Contains potassium and electrolytes. Hydration affects neurotransmission. Even mild dehydration reduces attention and increases fatigue. Here’s the part people ignore. The sense of taste is not just pleasure. It is biochemical regulation. What you eat becomes neurotransmitters. Literally. That’s why in The Five Senses Formula™ I break down how the sense of taste directly influences nervous system regulation. Not as a diet. As brain chemistry. Because calming an ADHD brain is not about willpower. It’s about giving it what it needs to function. If you want to understand how to regulate your brain through your senses, comment FIVE SENSES and I’ll personally add you to the waitlist.🦋 #adhdinwomen #adhd #neuroscience #nervoussystemhealing

@iamarianmateo
Trauma therapist Pat Ogden studying nervous system regulation documented something that explains why formerly resilient people suddenly cannot handle normal life. Ogden found that the window of tolerance—the range of activation you can experience while staying regulated—is not fixed. It expands and contracts based on nervous system capacity. Chronic activation and depletion cause the window to shrink. What used to fall within your manageable range now exceeds it and triggers panic or shutdown. A director in her research described handling ambiguity and uncertainty fine for years. Then one day, the smallest unanswered question sent her into spiraling anxiety. She had not developed an anxiety disorder. Her window of tolerance had collapsed from years of operating in sustained activation without restoration. When capacity depletes, your nervous system can no longer hold the same range of experience. Emotions that used to be uncomfortable but manageable now feel unbearable. Situations that used to be challenging but navigable now trigger complete dysregulation. The shrinking is not regression. It is accurate feedback that your system needs capacity restored, not more coping skills layered on top of depletion. You have not gotten weaker. Your system has narrowed its range to protect what little capacity remains. Have you noticed your tolerance for uncertainty or discomfort drastically decreasing over time? Comment ‘PROTOCOL’ and I’ll send you the training on how to rebuild nervous system capacity without more self-analysis. We may never cross paths again. Follow so you don’t lose me - @iamarianmateo

@nourishkindbynandini
A panic attack is not random. It’s your body going into emergency mode. Even if you’re sitting safely in your room. What’s happening inside your body: Your brain thinks you’re in danger → releases stress hormones → your heart starts racing, breathing becomes fast, body goes on high alert. That’s why it feels like: – “I can’t breathe” – “Something is wrong” – “I’m losing control” But it’s not danger. It’s an overactive stress response. Anxiety is the same system… just switched on for longer. So why is this happening more today? In real life, I see patterns like: – Long gaps between meals / too much sugar & caffeine → blood sugar goes up and crashes → your body feels unstable → triggers anxiety – Poor sleep + constant screen time → your brain doesn’t fully switch off → stays in alert mode – No real pause in the day → always doing, thinking, consuming → no signal of “safety” to the body – Holding everything in → stress, emotions, pressure → your body stores it instead of processing it Over time, your system becomes extra sensitive. So one small trigger = a big reaction (panic attack) Healing is not just “calm down.” It’s helping your body feel safe again: – Eating regularly, balanced meals – Reducing excess caffeine – Sleeping better – Getting sunlight, movement – Creating small pauses in your day – Talking, expressing, not bottling everything up And if needed, taking professional help. Your body is not weak. It’s overwhelmed. And once you support it properly, it can come back to balance [anxiety causes, panic attack symptoms, stress response body, nervous system regulation, cortisol and anxiety, blood sugar anxiety, caffeine and anxiety, sleep and mental health, anxiety triggers explained, panic attack help, overthinking and anxiety, gut brain connection, mental health awareness, stress management tips, anxiety relief techniques, nervous system healing, emotional stress symptoms, healthy habits for anxiety, holistic mental health, anxiety in young adults] #anxietyrelief #mentalhealthawareness #stressmanagement #nervoussystem #panicattack
