After injury, power usually isn’t lost because muscles are weak. It’s lost because timing, stiffness, and foot contact quality break down. Each of these drills focuses on: • precise foot contact • short ground contact times • controlled force absorption • progressive exposure to impact Research consistently shows that restoring reactive strength, limb stiffness, and coordinated landing mechanics is essential for improving function and returning to high-demand movement safely. These aren’t “do them early” drills. They belong after you’ve rebuilt basic strength and control. SAVE THIS FOR LATER AND FOLLOW FOR MORE. If you think you’re ready for this level of work and want a plan built around you, Comment the word: ‘REBUILD’.

This is an intermediate-level plyometric workout for volleyball. BUT before I get into the details of the workout…. If you are a high school volleyball player and your school season is going to end soon. Then you need to understand the time between the end of school season up until club tournaments get busy is a window of time to make faster physical improvements, like your vertical. If you are interested learning more about how I could help jump higher and gain strength (INTELLIGENTLY) then send me a DM with the words SPIKE TOUCH. I will follow up with more details. Back to the details about the workout…. You can use this routine as a standalone workout or as a warm-up before transitioning into your strength training. Just make sure to get in a good warm-up before starting. The Workout Exercise 1: Two-Foot Hops
Perform for 8 seconds, then rest for 20 seconds.
Complete 4 rounds. Exercise 2: Single-Leg Hops
Perform 8 jumps per leg.
Complete 2 sets with 30 seconds of rest between sets. Exercise 3: Elevated Accelerated Approach
Perform 3 max-effort jumps per set.
Complete 4 sets with 90 seconds to 2 minutes of rest between sets. Exercise 4: Dynamic Block Jumps 4 sets, 3 jumps each way. Rest for 40 to 60 seconds between sets. Get after it 👊
