👋 Are you stuck in pervasive doubt and anxiety about whether your relationship is right for you? Do you obsess about whether you love your partner enough or are compatible enough to make things work long-term? Maybe you also struggle with things like: 👉Break-up urges 👉Feeling repulsed 👉Resistance to intimacy 👉Or feeling numb or disconnected And you take these as a sign that you’re in the wrong relationship! Well, that’s not what this is about because I’ve been in your shoes and have made it to the other side of this debilitating issue. The thing is, ROCD makes you believe that if you’re feeling “off” or not “just right” then something must be wrong. It convinces you to second-guess everything and fuels the urge to either leave or endlessly analyze your relationship in a hunt for certainty that you are making the right choice.. But, imagine what it would feel like to: ✨ Trust yourself and your relationship—without needing constant reassurance ✨ Feel deeply connected without overanalyzing every thought and feeling ✨ Have clarity and confidence to move forward, instead of being stuck in analysis paralysis ✨ Feel the courage to commit—without the nagging worry of “what if?” I know that this is possible because I’ve helped literally hundreds of individuals overcome Relationship OCD and lead happy fulfilling relationships and I believe I can help you do the same. If you’re interested in learning more and getting support comment “heal” and I’ll send you my SUPER affordable course “The Secret to Overcoming Relationship OCD” for just $22! I hope to see you inside! #rocd #relationshipocd #relationshipanxiety #disorganizedattachment #fearfulavoidant

You’re in a loving, supportive relationship that you deeply want to succeed, yet something feels off. You spend hours dissecting your feelings, questioning if the spark is fading or if it ever truly ignited Instead of finding clarity, you’re met with a chilling emptiness. Doubt continuously creeps in: “Do I genuinely love them, or am I just fooling myself?” This emotional numbness can morph into irritation, where even the smallest things your partner does get under your skin Shame and confusion deepen as you wonder why you can’t just enjoy your relationship like everyone else. You’re caught in a relentless cycle of anxiety and self-doubt, where those “in love” feelings seem to slip further and further out of reach 😫 Why is this happening? Imagine being fully engrossed in a thrilling TV show when a burglar suddenly invades your home. Your focus immediately shifts to survival mode, making it impossible to enjoy the show With Relationship OCD (ROCD), your brain is operating in the same state of heightened alert, perceiving your partner and relationship as a threat. This hypervigilance prevents you from accessing the areas of your brain where love resides, leaving you stuck in a fight-or-flight response 👉🏼Obsessively questioning the “rightness” of your relationship not only hinders your ability to experience love but also steals precious moments with your partner where love could flourish So, how can you break free? Understanding that love is more than just a feeling is crucial. It thrives in presence and connection. Even without those “in love” emotions, you can choose to engage with your partner with care and vulnerability Addressing the compulsive behaviors that fuel your OCD/anxiety is essential By doing this, you’ll gradually shift out of fight-or-flight mode and start being present in your relationship, giving you the opportunity to truly evaluate if it’s right for you💖 🤍Follow @sol.curlad for tips and support on ROCD/RA! 🤎If you live in Texas, and want additional help, I’m accepting limited spots for clients. Your partner is loving and supportive. But sometimes, they don’t get it right. They get defensive. They don’t see your perspective. You feel misunderstood. And then the thoughts creep in:
“Shouldn’t this be easier if they’re ‘the one’?”
“Why do we keep having the same fights?”
“What if my gut is telling me I’m making a mistake?” Your chest tightens. Your stomach churns. Panic sets in. You’re stuck between two fears: staying in the wrong relationship or walking away from the right one. If this feels all too familiar, you might be dealing with relationship anxiety or relationship OCD. Here’s the trap: anxiety convinces you the answer lies in overthinking, analyzing every detail until you feel 100% certain. But that certainty? It doesn’t exist. It’s an illusion. The truth is, you can’t think your way out of this. Analysis won’t help. What will? Understanding that love isn’t about feeling perfect certainty—it’s about making a choice. Love is a choice. It’s an action. It’s showing up, even when doubt is present. Love grows through the effort you put in and the commitment you make every day. To ease the anxiety, stop the endless analysis. Start grounding yourself in your values. Ask yourself:
Who do I want to be as a partner?
What kind of relationship do I want to build? Then, make choices based on those answers—not on the fleeting need to feel perfectly sure. You seem fine on the outside… but inside, ROCD is spiraling: “I’ve lost feelings.” “Maybe I’m settling.” “Maybe this isn’t the right relationship.” Sound familiar? If you’re with a great partner but anxiety keeps hijacking your feelings - that’s Relationship OCD. I’ve been there. I used to obsess over feelings of love and attraction, wonder if I was “settling,” and assume every pang of doubt was my intuition. Here’s how I calmed the ROCD storm and learned to feel confident in my healthy relationships: 1️⃣ Check in with yourself first. When feelings for your partner seem to vanish, pause and turn inward. How are you feeling in your body and mind right now? Often, anxiety is showing you what needs love and compassion in yourself - not an issue with your relationship. 2️⃣ Fuel your own happiness. ROCD thrives on seeking “safety” and “wholeness” outside of yourself. Be the main character in your life - focus on your passions, friendships and purpose. This creates security from within and shifts your whole experience of love. 3️⃣ Connect intentionally. When you’re feeling relatively calm and unattached (not in a triggered state), explore ways to deepen connection with your partner: screen-free time, new activities, flirty kisses and love notes. Focus on enjoyment, not fixing anxious thoughts. ROCD doesn’t mean your love is fading - it means your mind is tricking you. You can rewire your mind & body to remain grounded, secure and loving, even when uncertainty pops up. 💗 👉 Follow for more tools to quiet ROCD and build self-trust in your relationship. #relationshipanxiety #rocd #relationshipcoaching #relationshipocd #anxietyhelp #insecureattachment

I grew up obsessed with romantic love. I WAS one of those girls who fantasized about getting engaged, having a wedding, and being a wife. It took me a lot of healing to understand that this fantasizing was a coping mechanism. I made it my mission in life to get something I never witnessed or received the benefits of growing up - a secure, sustainable, healthy, romantic relationship. Truth is, because I lacked a realistic blueprint for secure relationship, I was in for a rude awakening. My rOCD came on right after my husband proposed. So that entire chapter was filled with turmoil, pain, confusion, doubt, and insecurity, instead of excitement, anticipation, and joy. I was bitter for years that that season of my life was tainted by rOCD. But now, looking back from a place of recovery, I honestly wouldn’t change a thing. I’m so grateful my rOCD came to show me what matters most - the JOURNEY of co-creating a sustainable, secure relationship with my now husband. That wounded little girl inside of me had to learn that my pain wasn’t going to be healed with a perfect wedding, or engagement, and that what actually matters most is the perfectly imperfect, messy, beautiful, journey of learning how to love with another human. And that learning doesn’t stop when you hit a certain milestone. As someone who naively thought relationship would just be easy when she found her person, I get to instead, be a life long student of love. And that is much more exciting, humbling, and worthwhile. Inner Temple was created for the girls who didn’t receive a healthy blueprint of secure love, so we’re learning how to build it as adults. Confessing every detail so that a person (including therapist) “really knows you” can be a compulsion for people with OCD. They may feel like if they don’t share every single thing, they are lying and the therapist will not be able to assess whether or not it’s OCD aka “if you don’t hear every detail, I can’t trust that it’s actually OCD and not you just thinking it’s OCD” . OCD specialists are aware of this and often (kindly) stop clients from going down this road 🤎 The confession is more engagement with obsessions that ultimately fuel’s OCD’s presence. . What does feelings of DULLNESS and BOREDOM mean when the ROCD/RA is getting better? 😳 There is a period (for many people) during their healing journey of ROCD/RA where… The obsessive thoughts start to fade, the anxiety gets less intense, you feel more in control over your thoughts, you are more aware and educated on ROCD and awakening and… You’re suddenly hit with feelings of dullness and boredom. The adrenaline has died down, the cortisol stops surging and you’re left with dullness. Many mistake this period as a moment of “truth”, believing that the dullness means something bad or negative about their partnership. When in reality, what’s usually happening is that the awakening journey is progressing… For many, it’s a good sign! 🌟 You’re starting to gain more control over your thoughts, not in a constant state of fight, flight, freeze anymore… which also means you’re left with a nervous system that is also… EXHAUSTED. But on top of that, the brain is unfamiliar with the dullness that it starts to mistake it as a threat. It wonders… 1. If the lack of anxiety means the dullness is the truth of the relationship. 2. If you need to have ROCD back because that means you at least are afraid of losing your partner. So an individual during this stage will usually want the ROCD back because it’s… 1. Known (at least if I have ROCD, I know what it is and it means I dont want to leave my partner) 2. Comfortable (there’s certainty in knowing what this is and I’ve dealt with it before) 3. Enlivening — the chaos of ROCD takes away boredom, it’s up and down, chaotic and the nervous system can get addicted to the chaos of it. If you’re in this stage, you’re not alone. In fact, I get excited when my clients and members go through it. It’s a sign of progress, of less projection on the partnership and a way to move deeper through our nervous system into stability. In fact, it is a PHASE, and an important one to transcend through the threshold into your new journey that is awaiting for you 🤍 💖🌟 want to learn how to take hold of ROCD?
