Comment ADHD for more strategies and resources for neurodivergent kiddos with ADHD Two years ago my daughter and I were BOTH diagnosed with ADHD - her with the hyperactive/impulsivity version and me with a combo of hyperactive/impulsive and inattentive. Since then I’ve been digging into the research to understand the best foods to ADD to my daughter and I’s diet, specifically hers. She’s a light eater as it is, and since we added a medication that has a side effect of suppressing her appetite, the last thing I want to do is restrict her diet and I take further by taking away foods. So instead I take the approach of what can we ADD? There’s many nutrients that are beneficial for our brain and managing the tendencies of ADHD, but nothing by itself “get rid of” or be a magic pill. Instead it’s a variety of tools that you utilize based on your situation in the moment and different tools work for different people. These snack ideas are great for kids with ADHD either because of their nutrients or how they’re offered. Yeah. Fine… at school. At home? My kid is melting down because their sock seam feels “wrong,” they’re screaming about the color of their cup, and I’m walking on eggshells, just trying to make it through the day without another explosion over absolutely nothing. I used to feel like I was failing. I thought maybe I wasn’t patient enough… maybe I was too lenient… maybe I just didn’t know how to discipline “right.” But what if it’s not about parenting at all? What if their brain is just starving for the right fuel? ADHD isn’t just “bad behavior.” It’s impulsivity. Dysregulation. Mood swings. Explosive reactions over things that don’t make sense—until you understand what’s really going on inside their body. And no one tells you how much food impacts all of it. ❌ Sugar and food dyes? Send their nervous system into overdrive. ❌ Low protein? Makes it impossible for their brain to function. ❌ Missing nutrients? Tanks their mood, focus, and ability to cope. I learned the hard way. But now I’ve made it simple for you. You don’t have to overhaul everything. Start with snacks. Real food = real change. It was the turning point in our home. I created The Ultimate ADHD Snack Guide to take the guesswork out of what to feed your child when you’re just trying to survive the chaos. It’s full of ADHD-friendly snack ideas that support better moods, fewer meltdowns, and more calm—without the junk. If you’re nodding your head right now… this is your sign. Comment the word “SNACKS” below and I’ll send it to you! ( just be sure you’re following me first so you can get the link ) And if you know another ADHD parent who needs this- Tag them or share this with them now. You’re not a bad parent. Your kid’s not broken. You just haven’t been given the right tools—until now. #adhdkid #adhdmoms #adhdnutrition #parentingadhd #healthykidssnacks #adhdparent #adhdparentingtips #adhdmomlife #adhdmeme #adhdhelp #adhdstrategies #adhdsupport #adhdgirl #brainfoods #fuelforfocus #snacksforhealthykids #adhdisreal #adhdawarenessmonth #adhdinwomen #adhdproblems

📘 Comment “BOOK” below to grab your copy of Thriving with ADHD — packed with real tools, parent-tested strategies, and the support you actually need to help your ADHD kid thrive. Eight years. Eight. Straight. Years. And somehow, every single morning, he wakes up like his brain just got struck by lightning and immediately downloaded a new life mission. ⚡️ It’s like there’s a woodpecker living in his head — tap-tap-tapping the second his eyes open — and apparently, it only stops when the entire house joins the chaos. Forget a morning routine… we’re hosting a full-blown rock concert before sunrise. 🎸 Meanwhile, I’m running on fumes, clutching my coffee like a lifeline, and counting down the two long hours until I can give him his ADHD meds — just trying to make it to the noon dose without getting sent home. We have to wait until a certain time in the morning to give his meds so he hits his prime window right at school — when it matters most. The goal? Fewer impulsive behaviors, fewer calls from the office… and maybe, just maybe, a full day of learning without a meltdown soundtrack. So yeah… we’re all just surviving. Loudly. ☕️😂 He’s talking, drumming, building, singing, and narrating his own highlight reel — while I’m over here questioning my life choices and Googling “Can caffeine be administered via IV drip?” If you know, you know. And if you don’t… bless your peaceful, silent home. #ADHDparent #ADHDmomlife #adhdhumor #adhdkid #adhdfamily #adhdmomsunite #adhdchaos #adhdenergy #adhdreallife #parentingadhd #adhdstrong #momsofadhd #adhdcommunity #adhdparenting #raisingadhd #adhdmornings #adhdmeds

📖 ADHD is strongly heritable, meaning it runs in families. Recent research shows the heritability estimate is in the range of 60-90%! Many parents, through their child’s diagnostic journey, find themselves on a diagnostic journey of their own (some of us included 😌). 👉🏻What starts as “Sure, my child does that, but I did that too as a child!” …often turns into… “Ohhhhh, yes… I did that *too* as a child.” Parenting a child with ADHD when you, yourself, have ADHD presents unique challenges; however, you are also able to offer your child empathy and understanding that is incredibly valuable ♥️ 🌈Don’t forget that we have a free ADHD parenting guide for you! ADHD isn’t just about focus struggles. It’s the big emotions, the anxious spirals, the sleepless nights, and the constant reminders that drain the whole family. The Focus Patch works by using vibrotactile neurostimulation — tiny, precise patterns that signal the nervous system and help the body self-regulate. That means calmer emotions, sharper focus, and better balance without chemicals or side effects. Safe for kids and adults. And Focus is just the start. You can also try: • REM: sleep that actually restores • Peace: stress + overwhelm support • Freedom: pain relief • Liberty: balance + stability • Victory: strength + recovery • Ignite: metabolism + energy burn • Defend: immune support • Joy: mood boost • Boost: clean energy • Lumi: skin health • Rocket: vitality Comment TRIAL to see which one could change things in your home. #realmomlife #cortisolcontrol #momlifeunfiltered #kidshealth #adhdkids #adhdkid #holisticmedicine #fightorflight #cortisolimbalance #neurodivergentkids #adhdparenting #adhdsupport

Being a mom with ADHD is challenging, but add a child with ADHD, and it’s a whirlwind of chaos, love, and exhaustion. Here’s what it really feels like: 1. The Constant Mental Juggling 🤹‍♀️ Juggling thoughts about work, family, and daily tasks is tough enough, but managing a child with ADHD while keeping your own brain in check feels like juggling flaming torches on a unicycle. There’s no off switch. 2. The Guilt and Overwhelm 😔 I often feel like I’m not doing enough, whether it’s helping with homework or being distracted when my child needs me. I know their struggles, but it doesn’t make it easier when my own ADHD gets in the way. 3. Meltdowns and Overstimulation 😣 Both of us get overwhelmed quickly, and when a meltdown happens, it feels like the world stops. It’s hard to explain that it’s not “bad behavior,” but just our brains struggling to cope with overload. 4. Forgetting and the Mess 🏚️ My house can look like a disaster zone—not because I don’t care, but because I forget things all the time. Between laundry, dishes, and school projects, there’s always something left undone. My kid is in the same boat. 5. Small Victories 🎉 When we manage to get through a busy morning or do homework without major distractions, it feels like a huge win. Progress, not perfection, is what we celebrate. 6. The Bond We Share ❤️ Our bond is unique—we get each other’s struggles, distractions, and emotions. We’re both doing our best, and that’s enough. Raising a child with ADHD while navigating my own isn’t easy, but it’s incredibly rewarding. If you’re on this journey too, you’re not alone. Here is a one minute training to help you determine whether the PDA neurotype describes your child. I generally look for these five things: 👉 survival drive for autonomy that consistently overrides other survival instincts. 👉 equalizing behavior that looks controlling to get back to a place of nervous system safety. 👉 “high masking” (looks like two different versions of oneself). Not every PDA child or teen will be high masking especially once they hit burnout. 👉 constant need for undivided attention and signals of nervous system safety. 👉cumulative nature of nervous system stress which causes the disability to fluctuate.
