When you look closely at the evidence, high quality data showing consistent, meaningful benefit for pain or function is limited. That does not mean they are harmful. For most people they are unlikely to cause problems. But they are not benign either. They cost money, add complexity and can create false expectations. If someone wants to try a supplement, I usually suggest a simple rule. Choose one. Try it for four to six weeks. If there is no clear symptomatic benefit, stop. More is not better. The fundamentals still matter far more. Load management, sleep, nutrition, metabolic health and realistic rehab timelines will always outperform supplements alone. Evidence over hope.
