KALet’s upgrade my baby chicks’ brooder set-up from a 📦 to a 🏠! Figured the gals deserved a glow up. 💅🏼
I went out yesterday and got a 2 x 2 x 4 galvanized steel stock tank at the hardware store—which will be repurposed into a container bed in the garden once the chicks are done with it! Much nicer accommodations than the cardboard box they’ve been living in.
Here are some other essentials for their set-up:

CL✌🏼reasons I use puppy pads for 🐣
1. Leg stability
I started this years ago. Just added measure I take to make sure the chicks don’t start life with wonky legs.
2. Cleanliness
I don’t have shaving in waters and feeders and it’s much easier to roll up some pup pads the first week then messing with bedding
