Lax Core: Letting your lower back hyperextend (arch) risks back injury. ✅ The Perfect Fix for Back Gains: Hinge Forward: Initiate a hip hinge to lean forward, locking your torso into a 30-45 degree angle. Core Tight: Brace your core to keep your spine neutral. Cable Straight-Arm Lat Pullover Tips • Set the pulley at or slightly above head height. • Step back and hinge slightly at the hips. • Keep elbows close to your sides and arms slightly bent (soft elbows). • Do not shrug-keep your shoulders depressed and stable. • Pull the bar or rope down in an arc toward your hips, maintaining the same arm angle throughout. • Do not actively bend or straighten the arms-lock the shape of your arms and move through the shoulder joint only. • Control the movement and avoid momentum. #back #backworkout #upperbody

Standing cable pullover This exercise allows you to build up the latissimus muscles of the back, without using the biceps. It is recommended that you perform this exercise at the end of your back workout for additional muscle build-up, or in case you are avoiding working the biceps. Instruction • Stand facing the simulator. The straight handle is installed on the top block. Grab the handle with a regular grip and the arms at shoulder width apart. • Take a couple of steps back so that latissimus muscles of the back and the arms are both fully stretched. Stand completely bent-over. • Pull the handle down with the straightened arms along the path of the arc, while the shoulder blades are brought together and the body is tensed. When the handle is at hip level, pause and go back to the starting position. Warning • Keep the chest leaned over the knees, and keep the shoulders brought backward throughout the entire exercise. #fitness #exercise #gym

Instead, just raise the cable attachment up and create a more stable position with your body by using a counterforce with your arm on the rack. Alternate these with dumbbells, machine or regular cable attachment to also ensure you’re hitting the muscle where it’s strongest (mid-range).
