El CMJ es más que una simple prueba de salto; es una herramienta valiosa para mantener un diálogo constante con los atletas y controlar su estado de rendimiento de manera efectiva y considerada 💪. ⁣ ⁣ Debido a la estrecha relación que la disminución en la producción de fuerza tiene con la aparición de indicadores fisiológicos del grado de fatiga, Jiménez y González-Badillo (2011) proponen medir el CMJ como una prueba para conocer el estado de rendimiento de manera no invasiva y efectiva. ⁣ ⁣ Gorostiaga et al. (2010) estudiaron los efectos de 6 sesiones de entrenamiento interválico de sprints de diferentes distancias e intensidades sobre las concentraciones de lactato y amonio y los niveles de salto vertical. Se encontró que el rendimiento del salto vertical disminuye notablemente a partir de un número determinado de repeticiones que estaba asociado a una acumulación de lactato de entre 8-12 mmoV/L y a niveles de amonio mucho más elevados que en reposo.⁣ ⁣ De esta forma, el control del entrenamiento mediante el uso del CMJ informaría con más precisión sobre qué grado de esfuerzo real se está realizando en cada momento, lo que permitiría a los entrenadores una mejor dosificación de la carga propuesta a los deportistas (Jiménez et al, 2013).

There is different software and hardware out there so feel free to shop around 💸 When doing this test, start with feet should width apart and hands on hips. You want to load as quickly as possible to your optimal joint angle and then explode upwards. Maintain hands on hips and land back in the same place 📊 Are you gonna do this test? ⚡️

The countermovement jump (CMJ) is one of the main tools used to examine the level of the neuromuscular status in elite sports. Because of its reliability and validity, the CMJ test has become the “gold standard” test for monitoring neuromuscular fatigue in high-performance sports settings. Other authors also suggest that its high repeatability and fatigue sensitivity prove its usefulness, and it is currently the most valid test for detecting neuromuscular fatigue (NMF). Neuromuscular fatigue (NMF) is a reduction in the maximal voluntary force induced by exercise, with neuromuscular function changes that are due to repeated or sustained muscular contraction, and that are produced either at the peripheral or central levels, and that can be detected for upwards of 48 h to an extended period. The accumulation of fatigue or incomplete recovery can significantly influence the team sports performance, especially during regular competition with a congested fixture calendar, which can have acute and chronic harmful effects. If the fatigue sustained by players and their recoveries are not managed correctly, athletes can potentially be placed at a higher risk of impaired performance, or at a more significant risk of injuries. I not only love this idea for the take-off aspect, but even more for the landing. The water will crash and take you on a different ride every rep.
