Maglev trains don’t rely on wheels at high speed. After initial rollout on small rubber wheels, powerful magnetic systems lift the train a few millimetres above the track. No physical contact. Almost no friction. Levitation is achieved through either electromagnetic attraction or magnetic repulsion using superconducting magnets.
