Foam rolling is often over-hyped. No, it doesn't "break up scar tissue" or permanently "release fascia". It can temporarily reduce tissue sensitivity and transiently improve range of motion by decreasing neuromuscular tone. This can help you feel looser prior to training. I would spend no more than 5 minutes on the roller before going into a dynamic warm-up to truly prepare for a training session. Foam rolling is a tool, not the solution. #fitness #mobility #strengthtraining #wellness
