Most common myths, fads, follies of “Hard Gainers” 🚩My metabolism is too high 🚩I eat so much food and still can’t grow 🚩I’ve done everything 🚩My genetics When consulting with these training archetypes it becomes apparent why they are not gaining muscle and it has nothing to do with their genetics 1️⃣ Not tracking their calories. Super common for people to over estimate how much they’re eating. If you don’t track it how can you measure progress? 2️⃣ Aren’t sleeping enough hours. By now the amount of data on sleep being the most important factor to our health is nauseating. If you aren’t sleeping 7 1/2 hours a night you will not be able to recover and grow. 3️⃣ Not training hard enough Plain and simple, effort and execution will be the reason you build muscle along side sleep and nutrition. If you don’t push yourself hard enough in the gym you won’t be able to recover and grow. If any of the above describes you just know that you’re not doomed to stay small/skinny for the rest of eternity. There is a path you can go down that will lead you to all the muscle you’ve ever wanted. You just have to be willing to do the things you’re not doing currently to grow. 🧐 Reverse Diet!? You should NOT BE ON A DIET ALL YESR! You need to take a diet break and REVERSE DIET to get your metabolic rate back up systematically! I talk about this in my book more in depth (link in bio to “The Minimum Method”) but here is the low down. Your metabolic rate can slow down in as little as 2 weeks https://doi.org/10.1002/oby.20027 when cutting calories. Do this for a long period and eventually you will be more tired and burn less calories through the day by way of less NEAT ENERGY expended. For me dieting for about 12 weeks for this show I have to slowly bring my calories back up! How to do it is on the screen! Save it. Share it. Learn! J My best hack?! Get a meal service like @myo_meals (as shown) and track calories that way (code Joey10) to take some of the guess work out of things! Precision is key! @gorillaseason with the cameo @getinmode
