Don’t sleep on the Trx. Next to bands I believe the suspension training is one of the most underused and undervalued forms of training there is. These are just some of my favorites, there are dozens of more options. And if you’ve done the Trx and believe it’s not enough of a growth stimulus, then fair enough, but I’ve never encountered that person yet. Most just assume. But trust me, especially if you a a heavier dude, the Trx will smoke you, you’ll feel your core working in ways it never has, and you’ll find the tension created in the working muscles comparable to heavy weightlifting. As a general rule, if I haven’t tried something personally I don’t criticize, I’ve learned that lesson the hard way several times (yoga, for example) #bodyweightworkout #trx #trxtraining #functionalfitness

3 of My Fave TRX Exercises- Part 2 • I like to use these exercises as part of my warm up or as auxiliary/complementary exercises. • — Rotational 1 Arm Row: I like the emphasis on greater range of motion, plus the thoracic controlled rotation of the thoracic spine. Bonus core work with this movement. • — Side Bend w/ Over Head Grip: I like the emphasis of controlled side bending of the trunk, since most movements in the weight room avoid this, but it is something that happens in sports and real life. Remember, your spine was designed to move in 3D! • — Acceleration March: great pillar strength movement, targeting hips, core, shoulders. The TRX Reverse Fly is an underrated gem for building rear delts, improving shoulder stability, and promoting better posture—especially if you sit a lot or do a ton of pressing movements. How to do it: 1️⃣ Set the TRX to mid-length and face the anchor point 2️⃣ Start in a leaning position with arms extended in front of you 3️⃣ With control, open your arms wide in a reverse fly motion 4️⃣ Squeeze your shoulder blades together at the top 5️⃣ Slowly return to the start—don’t let gravity pull you back too fast ✅ Keep your core engaged and avoid shrugging your shoulders ✅ Think pull apart, not pull back Why it’s 🔑: This movement strengthens the posterior chain of the shoulders, helping to balance out all the pushing (bench, overhead press) and improving scapular control—which is huge for injury prevention and overall shoulder health.
