DUWHAT TO DO THE NIGHT BEFORE A TEST 😱🤯⬇️
PRACTICE TESTS! your teacher will 95% of the time provide you with some form of practice test/exam (sometimes even multiple!). these are going to be THE BEST questions to practice with, as they will mimic your actual test/exam in structure, type of content assessed, etc. more often than not, if you do well in the practice test, you’ll be fine for the actual test!
- pretend you’re the teacher mark yourself harshly! don’t give yourself a mark unless you have ACTUALLY performed the calculation/written response EXACTLY. if you’re not sure, DO NOT give yourself the mark, and when you see the answer, don’t gaslight yourself into thinking, “yeah, i knew that, that’s basically what i wrote.” no you didn’t!!!!! don’t lie to yourself!
- complete the practice test in timed test conditions (give yourself LESS time than you would have, e.g for a 60 minute test, only give yourself 40 minutes). focus fully on it as if it were an actual test! (this will help build focus/concentration, and help build your time-management skills for tests/exams).
- your test will indicate the gaps in your knowledge. figure out why the answer is in fact correct, and how it differs from yours. rewrite the correct answer (as a correction whilst you’re marking your work) and make sure you follow up on the topic, concept, etc! there is NO point in completing the practice test if you don’t mark it, and don’t follow up after!
good luck! 🙂↔️
