There are many simple style tricks you can do to elevate an outfit. One I swear by is... tucking your top! Tucking your top adds INSTANT waist-definition, often times giving your figure a more flattering silhouette. This is my fail-safe method I use to tuck my button down tops without adding any bulk! 1 | Start by unbuttoning the last two buttons on your top 2 | Take one shirt tail and thread it through the bottom gap between your buttons, weaving from the outside-in 3 | Take the opposite shirt tail and do the same, also threading from the outside-in 4 | Pull the shirt tails taut to tighten the faux knot OPTIONAL | Tuck the shirt tails into your bottoms for the perfect bulk-free half-tuck Have you tried this trick? How to find your contrast level! Your contrast level is basically the difference between the lightest and darkest parts of your features and knowing yours can make a HUGE difference. When you dress with your natural contrast, your outfits actually compliment your natural colouring Here’s how to figure yours out: Step 1: take a photo of yourself in natural light (no makeup if you can!) and convert it to black & white (use the saturation tool not a filter) Step 2: Find the lightest and darkest parts of your features and place them on my contrast scale (link in bio) Step 3: Subtract the lowest number from the highest and that’s your contrast level! 🤍 Low contrast (1 - 3) your features are close in tone. You look good in tonal outfits, blended colour palettes and monochromatic looks. Avoid super harsh colour blocking! 🩶 Medium contrast (4 - 7) you’ve got a beautiful balance. You can wear both tonal and contrasting outfits, lucky you! 🖤 High contrast (8 - 10) you’ve got striking, bold features. You were made for high contrast outfits so like black & white, bold colour blocking and sharp patterns. Also the most common question I get is can I use the whites of my eyes?! They’re part of your face so they count! BUT this is where people get tripped up, not everyone’s whites are actually that white! Some are more ivory or warm toned, so don’t just assume you are a specific contrast level without testing it on the scale. Drop your number below 👇 I’d love to know! #contrastlevel #styletips
